Why You Should Try Four Seasons Hotpot City

by - January 23, 2016

As a hotpot fan, I couldn't contain myself when I found out about this buffet restaurant. I didn't know this hotpot heaven exists until their Manhattan Parkview branch opened late last year. And when I found out about it, I wanted to try it right away! But you know, I'm on a diet (screw diets!) so I waited for the right moment to try it.

And after some months, finally! I was able to taste and try this hotpot heaven. So yesterday was Boyfie's birthday and as we all know.. most of the buffet restos around metro manila offer birthday promos such as free birthday feast for the celebrant as long as there's one paying adult. And this hotpot buffet is one of those. The celebrant can eat free on the day of their birthday itself given that there is one full paying adult. Otherwise, the celebrant can eat for free during his/her birthday month provided that there are four full paying adult. Just don't forget to bring a valid ID with your birthday in it for validation purposes.

At first glance, the place is well lit and the interiors are modern. The place is big enough to accommodate small and large groups. Sooo.. Why you should try this? Well because..

1. Of course their hotpot!!! Not to sound bias or what because I am a total fan of shabu shabu, this place got you covered on your soup cravings. First, you choose your type of soup. Then you choose your ingredients. What ingredients? Well all sorts you can think of. Veggies, meat, noodles, dumplings. Everything a hotpot fan can think of!

2. Freshness overload. According to their website, the ingredients are fresh, healthy, and are carefully handpicked by their chefs. And I can agree, their veggies are fresh. As well as the meat.

3. Their cooked dishes. Aside from customizing your own hotpot, they also offer cooked meals which you can complement with your hotpot creations. Imagine the goodness of Viking's food paired with your boiling hotpot. Total gluttony I guess. They have a wide variety of Japanese concoctions and you can customize your own pasta too.

4. Good customer service. I don't eat much on buffet restos but I can still compare Four Season's customer service with the other buffet restos I have tried. Their staffs are very friendly and approachable. Actually you don't need to approach them because if they feel like you need something (like a refill on your soup or something) they'll be the first one to ask if you need anything. Uhuh. Plus points! They're not the snobs who pretend they didn't saw you call their attention. I experienced raising my hand and two staffs rushed to my direction (naguunahan lang. LOL).

5. And just like the others, they have their own birthday gimmick for guests that are celebrating their birthdays. Others will play guitars and sing on your tables. As for them, they have a dance number! Like all the staff will dance, even the ones behind the food counters will dance to make you special even just for a few seconds lol. Of course there's also a complimentary cake. But don't expect too much about the cake. It's the thought that counts. :)

6. The total food experience. Why is it different from the others? Well I guess maybe because aside from the hotpot experience, the whole area is very appetizing to the eyes. You don't feel like you have to taste everything, you just want to savor the dining experience with your loved ones. Unlike with the other buffet restos, all you care about is how many food you can taste. In here, there's an ambiance of enjoying the food and the company you have with you.

Bonus: Their bar has a wide variety of drinks too. From sodas and juices, they also serve infused water (I know this sounds like "whaaaat" but I was just amazed because this is first buffet resto I saw that has infused water), and Chang (beer from Thailand).

And of course, this wouldn't be an awesome experience without my boyfriend. Would I come back? Totally! The hotpot foodie inside me rejoices. :D
By the way did I mention that this buffet resto was from the creators of Vikings Luxury Buffet? Yeah, now that's one another reason to try Four Seasons Hotpot City.
