Dreamland Arts & Crafts Cafe - Lipa

Here I am! Back in South. The last time I went here was my sister's birthday celebration at Canyon Cove. I am not complaining though because I refuse to book more flights and so I am just exploring the nearby places I can go to while busy being a Manila girl. (lol whut?!) Actually, this isn't the original plan, we actually planned on climbing Mt. Maynoba in Tanay but unfortunately, news about NPAs around Tanay is going around. Even though we want to, we can't risk being hostages. And while our Mt. Maynoba climbed is moved on to another unknown date, we're off exploring other places that can satisfy our wanderlust.

My friend Ian suggested we go to Marian's Orchard because aside from its cheap entrance fee, which is P50 (or roughly $1), the place is so girly. I won't narrate much because that's for another post. What I want to share with you guys is our experience at Dreamland Arts and Crafts Cafe Lipa! After taking too many photos and when our stomachs couldn't handle it anymore, we went to this place to have our lunch.

I've been wanting to visit this cafe for ages! Been stalking their Instagram page since I can't remember the date anymore.. And so when we decided to visit Marian Orchard, I also included this place on our stop for the day. Guys, this is a must! I am only in Batangas once in a blue moon so I took advantage of the excursion here.

And wow! It's so cool! Yup, cool is how I describe it. At first glance, you wouldn't think this is something I see in their IG page.. but when we enter the place, lo and behold! It was sooo ~dreamyyyy~. Dream catchers everywhere, upcycled and recycled interiors, chill soundtrip, and cool set up of tables and chairs. There's a wow factor when we went inside. At least for me, that's how I felt.

One of the biggest dream catchers I've seen!

First things first. Dreamland Arts and Crafts Cafe has 2 branches. 1 in Tagaytay and 1 in Lipa. And if you frequent Tagaytay, I'm pretty much sure you already heard about their Tagaytay branch. I also heard they have 3 rooms for rent wherein the rate is inclusive of breakfast. Talk about a cool bed and breakfast place. I haven't been in their Tagaytay branch so I don't know which one is better but basing it on the reviews I read online, I think it's quite a good place to visit too. Plus it is open freaking 24 hours!!! Tagaytay in the middle of the night? Fret no more!

Their Lipa branch on the other hand is their first branch. Let's just say that this is where the dream came alive. Chessy~ And as I was saying, upon entering, you will be serenaded by the chill background music. And by chill, I mean reggae and those beach songs I hear on Spotify. I also somehow felt some beach vibes here. Hmm.. Probably it's just the beach calling me. Lol! They also have a stage set up in front so I am assuming they have live bands performing probably on weekends? Music plus good food? what else can you ask for! This is the best place for barkada who's having lunch after long road trips, for those who are artsy, and for those that just want to try something new.

And did I mention that they are serving healthy dishes? Yup. No problem for people who are on a diet.. you will have something to eat here. Not all are healthy but at least you have pretty much a good number of choices. They serve pastas, rice meals, mini pizzas, milkshakes, desserts, and shakes to name a few. And for kids, they offer set meals which include an art set. I don't what does the art set include but it sounds like a good deal. For me, the only turn down in their food is that most of the stuff we want to order is not available upon our visit. And the serving time of some of the dishes are quite long. Like some of us already finished their plates while some of us haven't started eating yet.

And as for the service.. Their staffs are friendly and accommodating. They apologized for the long waiting time of the food which if you ask me is not a common gesture anymore in some restaurants. And to be fair, while waiting for the food, we just entertained ourselves by their interiors. One cannot simply have too much dream catchers. And btw, I also heard that the dream catchers they're selling are all unique. Meaning, when you buy one for yourself, it is already one of a kind. I just don't know how true this is but if it is.. then wow! Creativity on its finest.

Outside the cafe, they also sell different kinds of merchandise. They also do ship so when you happen to eat here, go check our their merchandise!

Love the details of the laces here.

One of the stuff this place is also known for is its no wifi policy. Like every corner, there's a reminder that there's no wifi and they encourage customers to talk. As the saying goes, "disconnect to connect". This is very true though. How many times do we check our phones while having a meal with someone else? Just enjoy the food, the music, and the company you have. It's what makes the experience at Dreamland nicer.
