My left eye's vision is declining as months go by after the procedure so, after a year of observation, the doctor decided that I can finally have an enhancement procedure on my left eye. The original procedure took place September 2017, so September 2018, I had my one year check up and that's when the doctor said we'll observe it for one more month then if it stays the same, we'll go through the enhancement.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/div\u003E\n\u003Cdiv class=\"p2\"\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\n\u003Cdiv class=\"p1\"\u003E\n\u003Cb\u003EOctober 2018,\u003C\/b\u003E\u0026nbsp;I went back and that's the time the doctor said: \"okay, we'll do it\". But! I have an overseas trip to Bali in November 2018 so it wasn't a good time to do the procedure. So we postponed it to December 2018.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/div\u003E\n\u003Cdiv class=\"p2\"\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\n\u003Cdiv class=\"p1\"\u003E\n\u003Cb\u003EDecember 2018,\u003C\/b\u003E\u0026nbsp;the enhancement of my left eye took place. It was successful because now, it is clearer than my right eye. LOL. So what do you do in an enhancement procedure, you ask? Basically, everything that happened on your first LASIK is what's gonna happen on your enhancement procedure. They will check if you're still a good candidate, so all that tests and preparation you did the first time. For a moment, I thought I could ask if they can also enhance my right eye but they will not unless it is above the normal 20\/20. Currently, my right eye is at 20\/16. So yeah, only the left eye or whichever eye needs to be enhanced.\u003C\/div\u003E\n\u003Cdiv class=\"p2\"\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\n\u003Cdiv class=\"p1\"\u003E\nAfter the enhancement, there's the normal checkup. A day after, a week after, a month after and anytime the doctor asks you to come back. I wasn't able to come back the next day because it was a Sunday and I got lazy (don't follow my example, lol) but I am pretty sure my left eye is good and didn't have any irritation or anything. I was able to come back a week after, got scolded by the doctor on why I didn't come the day after but nothing to worry about because my left eye is okay. lol. He advised me to come back in March 2019, which is after 3 months of the enhancement procedure.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/div\u003E\n\u003Cdiv class=\"p2\"\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\n\u003Cdiv class=\"p1\"\u003E\n\u003Cb\u003EMarch 2019:\u003C\/b\u003E\u0026nbsp;Both eyes okay. I complained I see what they call \"floaters\" so he prescribed some kind of drops for it. Take note this is 1 year and 9 months after the original LASIK date and Shinagawa only offers 3 years warranty (sounds like we're talking about tangible material stuff lol). During this checkup, the doctor advised me of coming back after a year. Yep, that's right - after a year because he said my eyes are already stable. And I would say, he is right. Stable. Left eye is good. 20\/12. The right eye, still at 20\/16. One of the reasons why I love travel expos. You just really have to look for the best deals. We also had the choice to use it on separate days or use the voucher consecutively. It can actually accommodate 4 but the inclusions in the voucher are for 2 people only. It also already comes with a free breakfast. The room is quite spacious and I definitely love the beddings, sooo comfy! But what I liked the most on this stay is the breathtaking view we got from our room's balcony! Pine trees are everywhere! Also, the neighborhood sticks to its own theme. Same when you're going back to the hotel. And if you're staying out late night, you might encounter problems going back to the hotel if you don't have your own car with you as there might be no more shuttles to fetch you and bring you back to the hotel. Also, a week before the concert, Gold, Platinum, and VIP tix are still available. If I didn't score a bronze tix, we're probably stuck in the GA area as my boyfriend got GA tix but he sells it the moment I bought bronze tix. I found in some blogs that I should try baye-baye when I'm in Roxas. It's like a pinipinig delicacy. You see, this trip is all sorts of excitement and being scared. Scared of what lies ahead and scared of not knowing anyone along the way. But that's the very core and very reason why we travel alone at least once. It just sounds like Iloilo is a good place for solo travellers, and for first time solo travellers. So I booked it.. roughly P650 roundtrip (around $13). I was ecstatic that time because finally I can try solo travelling! Yay! But turns out this trip almost didn't push through because of some external forces we can't really control. But in the end, all's well that ends well. I decided right then and there that that's the place I want to visit! But months before, I found out it's not possible because my flight to Iloilo is around 1PM and the boat that leaves in the port for Isla de Gigantes is at 2PM. Schedule can't really permit it. I can still continue to explore Iloilo city but we just went there last January (just in time for \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/www.maayalegaspi.com\/2017\/02\/iloilo-dinagyang-2017.html\" target=\"_blank\"\u003EDinagyang\u003C\/a\u003E). And 3 days in Iloilo alone? I don't think it's a good idea. So instead of thinking of other stuff to do, I decided that I'll just miss my flight because first, it only costs P650 - no harm in missing it. Second, I'll just use my vacation leave credits for much anticipated vacations and travels.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/center\u003E\n\u003Ccenter style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/center\u003E\n\u003Ccenter style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003E\nBut while I was on the edge of giving up, Cebu Pacific miraculously sent a schedule change email which entitles me to \u003Cb\u003Erebook\u003C\/b\u003E my flight on my preferred date, and on nearby ariports for free! Like spell lucky!!! The stars aligned and just like that, I was able to rebook my flight on my most convenient time. I decided that I'll rebook my Iloilo flight to Roxas City because I read that Roxas city is nearer in Bancal port in Carles Iloilo instead of the Iloilo proper. Going back to Manila, I still took the Iloilo airport. I already got a tour package on my Isla de Gigantes tour. Everything was all set! Got my swimsuit ready. The only thing missing is a tripod because I am travelling solo and therefore, it's a hassle to always ask people to take my pictures. I am already losing hope. I'm pretty much sure that even if I decided to go, the cabin crews might not let me go inside the aircraft because mumps is highly contagious. But me being persistent, I still packed my stuff and got ready for the flight. Like nothing's ever gonna stop me from this travel. Packed my meds, all the beach essentials, and on the day of my flight.. surprisingly, my face started to go back to normal! Though it's still swelling, at least it wasn't that scary big. I successfullly landed at Roxas Airport. It was still early in the morning and the clouds are quite dark. Thankfully, it didn't rain during my stay there. IF you will ask me, this solo travel is an eye opener. I've experienced a lot. Sleeping with the locals, touring solo, and I've even had the longest scariest night of my life. This year is like a ticking time bomb because it felt like I need to live a fast paced life. Although I am not a well known blogger, it makes my heart happy knowing that somehow I made an impact, I've shared valuable information to some of my readers. I have documented all of my trips, some of it are not yet published but I'll try my best to do all the back logs. I haven't reached my target page view goal for this blog because I don't have any concrete plans on how to do it.. But if you would ask me between the beach and the mountains, my heart still belongs to beach. Nothing can make my heart feel warmer than the beach. This coming year, I'll try to hike more mountains. I have an anxiety with meeting new people so maybe, it will add to the challenge, but if it's for myself, I am up for it. All of the money that was supposed to be for that cup of coffee, all of the money that was supposed to be for buying new clothes.. it's all worth it because it became memories and experiences. I don't think I'll have it any other way. I might not bought a lot of materials stuff for myself but I am grateful for all the experiences and memories. It makes me the person I am now. It made me learn a lot of stuff about the locals. Plus, I love how I am sharpening my geography knowledge! Planning itineraries has made it possible. LOL! I am financially happy. And no, I am not rich.. I still have to make ends meet. I pay my bills, etc. It's just that I was able to save on what I am supposed to save while travelling. Well, this is already the scenarios when I got my first paycheck.. but this year, it felt like I am more financially okay. Invested some of my money, have an emergency fund, and I am being responsible for all of my purchases. Then I remembered my childhood where there were barely smartphones. Facebook isn't a thing yet and it feels like the world is such a wonderful place to live in. I remember talking to my grade school best friend over the phone while watching Naruto.. and \u0026nbsp;maybe if it did happen today, we will just be chatting over messenger or some other chatting apps. What if we have the internet but there's really no Facebook or Friendster to begin with? Truth is, we rely so much on social media. That if it would be gone right now, I think we will all be lost, but at the same time would be living a normal life just the way it was before there were likes and shares. I wouldn't lie though, social media has made our lives easier, from sharing to what's happening right in this moment, to sharing a special moment with your friends, and your not so close friends. There probably would have less discussions and conflicts too! And who would forget about the trolls too? We will all be relying on our planners or if not, our memories, for our families and friend's birthdays. If it wouldn't for Facebook, we would have not greeted our friends during their birthdays. We wouldn't be asking for the wifi password every time\u0026nbsp;we dine out. It's funny how we see our friends to reconnect but we almost never put down our phone's when we're with them. Let's not begin with talking about trolls because we would be talking for forever by then. But let us discuss on how satire websites can change our lives. I don't know what actually are the motives of fake websites but I think without social media, they won't be successful enough in spreading malicious lies around the world wide web. Yes, they could exist because internet's still there but I think they will have a hard time convincing the masses of their false journalism. Photos will still be printed most of the time because there's no venue to share it with other than by putting it in the classic photo album.. or picture frame then show it to someone. And we would probably only know something new about the person if we actually meet them in person! Marketing would probably be different.. Brands wouldn't ask us to like their pages or post for something free from them. We would appreciate our surroundings more.
