Yep, that's right! I think this is the best time of the year to climb mountains because the weather is still cold but it's really not raining. As they say, January is the knitted sweater season. I can't blame them though, I'm liking the sweater weather and how it gives off an instant glow! LOL! Balagbag has a \u003Cb\u003Edifficulty of 2\/9\u003C\/b\u003E and the trail is a lot easier than what I've experienced from my climbs before. Height is roughly 777 MASL (so far the highest that I've climbed). It is situated in Rizal and is part of the Sierra Madre range. I always prefer climbing mountains that's in Rizal because not only it's near our place, the view from the summits are also stunning. This is definitely the perfect mountain for beginners like me (seems like I won't be past beginner, lol!), difficulty is easy, trail doesn't include rock climbing, and there are almost no life threatening passages. When I say life threatening, it means no cliffs, no narrow passages, and no rocky trails.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/center\u003E\n\u003Ccenter style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/center\u003E\n\u003Ccenter style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003E\n\u003C\/center\u003E\n\u003Ccenter style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003E\n\u003C\/center\u003E\n\u003Ccenter style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003E\nAnd since it's in Rizal, I thought we would ride the usual transportation going there. You know, Montalban UVs. But no! In order to go there, we rode a bus going to Tungko.. The jump off is in Rizal and we went past through San Del Monte Bulacan. How amazing geography is. Lol! Do not make the same mistakes we did! Lol! We walked our way to the jump off which took us 1 hour, considering we are beginners, our pace is quite slower than those who are frequently climbing mountains. So when we reached the jump off after an hour, we felt really relieved! Of course you have a choice to ride the tricycle or not. As for us, we could've saved time if we rode the tricycle. Thing is, we really didn't know that there's a tricycle available. Guess this is a favorites among bikers. If you have a 4X4, you can also bring it. We saw a lot of people going to the summit using their 4X4's. We're actually jealous because we're already very tired and those people doesn't have a hard going to the summit. We thought of hitchhiking but no, experience is far more valuable so we continued the hike. The view while hiking is amazing. Also, knowing our pace, we really should have descend a little early to catch the jeep. Descending is a lot easier of course. When we reached the jump off area, we changed our clothes and waited for a tricycle. Another tip I can give is instead of asking the driver from Licao-Licao to alight you at Tungko, ask the jeepney driver to alight you at Starmall because this is where the buses usually get people. And before the bus goes to Tungko, there are no more seats available so you will be standing on your whole travel to Cubao. Manalmon. But as we register, we suddenly just wanted to climb Mt. Gola and try spelunking at Bayukbok cave II. Both Mt. Manalmon and Mt. Gola has a height of 196m. So if you're a beginner, these are one of the mountains you should first try out. But don't think that just because it wasn't that high, you can go to the peak easily. The trail is a different thing. It's still exhausting but tolerable. We've conquered Mt. Pamitinan which has a rocky trail so Mt. Manalmon and Mt. Gola should be quite easier for us. Well, it wasn't. Haha. Gola. As I said, the trail is quite easy compared to Mt. Pamitinan but of course, you would still get tired. But it's the view on the peak that will make all your sweat and exhaustion go away. Gola, we weren't able to really go to the peak because our guide, Kuya Tamang said that the peak's crowded with trees so he instead led us to the viewing deck which has the same height as the peak. My first time was in Sagada. But nonetheless, it was a nice experience. Got lots of bruises and head bumps but it's fine. Things we do for adventure. Lol. Some rocks you climb, some you crawl. If you're worrying if there's a shower room, there is. So better bring extra clothes and toiletries when you go here. Before we went home, we tried the monkey bridge. Which is very cool! There's a harness for safety precautions but I bet you don't even need that. Binicayan\u003C\/a\u003E, that climb is supposed to be a twin day hike but unfortunately, due to exhaustion after the first mountain, we weren't able to climb the second one. And that second mountain we weren't able to climb was Mt. Pamitinan. We're really exhausted by the time we went down from the first mountain. We're supposed to climb Mt. Pamitinan and Mt. Binicayan in Rodriguez Rizal and as I mentioned, we only traversed Mt. Binicayan. It was really worth the sweat! I don't want to sound \"super happy or bragging\" because this is my first hike and I know a lot of mountaineers always see this kind of view from the top but please allow me to sound \"giddy giddy\" as I write this down because it's an accomplishment for me! If you have a phobia for heights then I doubt you can go near the cliffs.
