Just a little background, Cagsawa Church was built in 1733 and was destroyed when the eruption of Mayon Volcano on February 1814 took place. With the eruption happening, it buried the town and has killed an estimated number of 1200 people. It has been the most strongest eruption of the volcano recorded in history. And that is also why this place is famous. Because it has a big impact on the history of Albay. The view also of the Mayon volcano is very stunning. The perfect cone is definitely awesome because where else can you find that kind of slope? Lol. Feels like I wanted to capture the volcano on every view I can. haha! And can I just say how happy I am to see this for the first with ze boyfriend? There are many cool souvenir shirts as well as local delicacy. What I like the most is of course their pili nuts! :) And if you're into spicy food, lucky you, chili sauces here are the bomb.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/div\u003E\n\u003Cdiv class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\n\u003Cdiv class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"\u003E\nAfter roaming around Cagsawa and buying some pasalubongs, together with the other joiners, we tried ATV. And it was my first time to try ATV here and it was fun!!! Only that it was kind of \u003Ci\u003Ebitin\u003C\/i\u003E because some of the ATVs are malfunctioning and we cannot really drive faster than the others because we're in a line. I think the 1400 pesos for a double ATV kart is not \u003Ci\u003Esulit \u003C\/i\u003Ethough. We arrived at 8PM but it wasn't that tiring. Kudos to \u003Ci\u003Ekuya \u003C\/i\u003EEddie for driving that far and for making us safe always. Also, I've never commended any travel agency before but guys! if you want to book your future local trips, you might want to check out \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/phfirsttravel.com.ph\/\" target=\"_blank\"\u003EPH First Travel and Tours\u003C\/a\u003E. They have cool and rare tours of the Philippines. Maybe because I don't know what this province offers. But being my adventurous self, I thought that maybe this is a good time to visit this place. Exploring a place that's not so main stream is definitely fun. Our original plan was to tour around the Bicol area for Holy week. But a week before, the tour agency texted us that it wasn't pushed through because there are no enough joiners for that particular tour. At first, I was quite disappointed because I was already looking forward to see the \u003Ci\u003Ebuntandings \u003C\/i\u003Ein Donsol. Whale shark encounters are very exciting! Oh well. Maybe next time. And because of that, they offered a refund or asked us if we wanted to join other tours. Choices are Cagayan and Sorsogon. And we chose Sorsogon. We do not have enough time to look for other Bicol tours that offer whale shark encounters in Donsol due to our busy sched and because upon researching before, there are no other travel agency that offers such activity. The main deciding factor in choosing Sorsogon was the fact that we wanted to look for a lobster as Sorsogon is very abundant in sea foods. Haha! This is one of the most memorable trips I had as this is the first time my boyfriend and I are travelling solo together. Due to many reasons, we cannot really travel together that often. We departed at 9PM and arrived after lunch to our destination. Which is San Mateo Hot and Cold Spring Resort. Well, not really. Planned itinerary for that day is island hopping. But upon arriving at the Matnog port, there are no more available boats. So instead of being disappointed, we have to be flexible. It is also the go to places of the locals if they wanted a quick relaxation. There are a lot of guests during our visit. Maybe because it's a holiday and the locals also wanted to relax. Most of the guests brought their own food. Rents costs 200-250 depending on the size of the cottage. Entrance is 35 pesos. If you're planning to go around Sorsogon, you should include this in your itinerary. Not only you'll be able to mingle with the locals but also you'll be relaxed with the springs and nature -ish ambiance. There are two man made pools. One is a hot spring and the other one is warm. Both is relaxing but I prefer the hot one.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/div\u003E\n\u003Cdiv class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\n\u003Cdiv class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"\u003E\nI think it'll be more relaxing if there are only few people, but then again, since it's a holiday.. the place was very crowded. We stayed at Mahogany Grand Lodge. After resting for a while, we looked for a restaurant or a place where we can eat fresh seafood. But since it's holy week and a holiday as well, we weren't able to look for it. And actually, we really don't know where to look for it. All we know was we wanted to eat fresh seafood. So not to spoil the night, we tried \u003Ca href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/MangoGrillResto\/?rf=192873600754192\" target=\"_blank\"\u003EMango Grill\u003C\/a\u003E. Me and my boyfriend can both agree that their grilled squid is delish.
