Mystery Manila: Buried Bodies

Mystery Manila

If you ever been a person on who's on the look out for something new in the metro, then you might have heard about Mystery Manila and Breakout. If not, then just a simple intro.. Mystery Manila and Breakout are offering interactive puzzle/mystery rooms where you have to solve and find clues so you would be able to go out from the room. If you're a detective by heart, then this is you! Hehehe. :) I've been hearing good reviews about this and I also wanted to try this even before. So when my friends kidnapped me from McKinley, we went straight to Mystery Manila to try it out.

Upon talking to the staff, we found out that the only available room is Buried Bodies. Because by the way, they are booked through online. And because we just went there out of nowhere not knowing the procedures and what to expect, I think we're still lucky enough there's an available room for us to try. But! The catch is, the room left which is "Buried Bodies" was somehow scary. 2 of your friends will be inside a coffin! we're just 3 when we went there so we have really no choice. HAHA! And my friends have no choice because I don't really want to be inside a coffin..

I swear I don't want to continue going inside the room because I'm really matatakutin. But we're there already and my friend's convincing powers are too strong. Lol

Before we went inside, there's a 15 minute briefing and background story. I don't wanna spoil the fun to you guys so I won't really give much details about the room so when you try it, you are still challenged with the clues. :)

We were blindfolded when we enter the enter room. You have an hour to beat the challenge. My friends are placed inside the coffin while I was standing waiting for the signal to start. I must say.. they won in scaring me. Even the background music is realistic. So when it's time to start, since I'm the only one outside, I need to act fast so I can free my friends from the coffin. And btw, if you're asking if the coffin is real, see it for yourself.

We're sometimes stuck within a clue and sometimes we get it easily. We still managed to get out though with a time of 40 minutes! hehehe. Not bad for first timers I think? At first, we're really competitive and wanted to beat the time posted at their Mystery Leader board. Unfortunately, we weren't able to. Haha. Maybe next time.

You get a prize depending on how long it took your group to solve the mystery. I think if it's less than 30 minutes you get a shirt.

We should've been up in the leader board! heheh.

Andddd.. that's us! Mystery solved! It is fun except for the scary part. We have plans on trying the other rooms too. hehe.

So if you wanna try this kind of experience.. Mystery Manila branches are located in Jupiter Makati, Century City Mall, and Libis Quezon City, in front of Citibank Eastwood. Just make sure to book online so your slot is guaranteed. All in all it was really fun especially if you're playing with friends. It's a good bonding too! Because as what they say, team work is the key! :)
