The Round Table Kapitolyo Review

by - February 22, 2016

The Round table isn't your typical buffet menu that overwhelms you with the number of dishes served. In here, it is quality over quantity. According to their Facebook page info "The Round Table is an innovative and contemporary restaurant that serves both latest international trends and their own versions of our favorite traditional Filipino dishes."

I've eaten here twice and both my experience are amazing. FYI, The Round Table buffet specializes in having a different theme of menu for every night of the week. If I'm not mistaken and if my infos are still updated, they serve whole day breakfast during Mondays, Italian every Tuesdays, Japanese every Wednesday (Mongolian before), Filipino every Thursday, and roast carving during Fridays. As for weekends, it varies every week. The first time I went, they had a Street food theme where they serve Filipino street foods such as Pares, fishball, kikiam, squidballs, kwek kwek, pansit, and other food I can't remember already.

So what made us come back? Because of its affordable yet scrumptious buffet menu. My boyfriend and I are supposed to try Kapitolyo's newly opened food park but while I was running through my newsfeed, I found out that they're serving a Carnivorous type of buffet for that day. And so what a way to end a week? Head on to The Round Table!

I called to reserve a seat for me and my boyfriend. Another FYI, the seating capacity of this restaurant is just about 20-30 people. So if you want to eat or try this out, you have to reserve your seat in advance especially during weekends. The staff told me that they're already fully booked for that night but I insisted that we'll just wait for an empty table. They said that they'll just list down my name but our seats are not guaranteed. And maybe the odds are in favor of us that time, they called me and said they have counter table seats available.

Their menu for that night was:

Cream of Pumpkin Soup
Grilled Mussels in Garlic Butter
Grilled Thinly sliced Liempo
Fish en papillote
Roast beef
Grilled Chicken
Creamy Alfredo Pasta
Roasted Vegetables
Mini Rhum Butter cake
One Round Iced Tea

Like what I said, they don't serve a lot of overwhelming dishes but don't be fooled, the dishes are delicious! I must say your money is worth it. With a price of less than 200 bucks every weekdays and 350 pesos for every special buffet menu, you can already eat your hearts out without breaking your wallets. You can definitely get a value for your money.

Funny thing about The Round Table is that they really used a round table as their buffet table.

If you're not yet convinced that they offer awesome and unique buffet experience, you might want to pay them a visit personally. But be sure to reserve in advance! I've warned you. This is a great place for catching up with friends or having a lunch/dinner with your special someone. The ambiance is good for little chit chats. Also, you know Kapitolyo doesn't disappoint right? I know the foodie inside you wants to try this out. So check this one out now. :)
